Here's my second chain maille bracelet. I think it would look much better with thicker rings. Of course, sterling silver would also be better!!! Just using the cheap rings while I learn how to do this.

Wow!! I just finished my first chain maille project!!! I used the most basic jump rings from the store, and a pattern I found online. I have to say it was really fun, but difficult too!!! I hope I can learn more styles of this, cause it was really fun!!!

Here is a project that I just finished. I've been trying to make this necklace for weeks. The first time, I didn't have the right color of thread. The second time, it was too loose and didn't look right. This time I was very careful to keep it all pulled tight, and it was a lot of fun, and frustration!!

Here is one of my favorite items, which I think could be a big seller, if I could get anyone interested in purchasing my jewelry. Its an interchangable set of gemstone watch bands. Shown here are garnet, malachite and iolite, with pewter spacer beads. Each band has 2 lobster-claw clasps which hook on to jump rings on each end of the watch face.

Here is another garnet piece, one that was given as a gift to a friend. I really enjoy making gemstone jewelry, and knowing how to set cut gemstones into pendants and rings really increased my possibilities.

Garnet chip dangle earrings made to go with the garnet 3 strand necklace. Made with silver chain.

More jewelry with my birthstone. This 3 strand garnet necklace includes round and chip garnet beads, sterling silver beads and a sterling silver toggle clasp.

Here is a fun cuff-style bracelet I made with malachite and silver and memory wire.

Here is another of my more recent projects. I used mauve colored pearls, with sterling silver beads and chain to create this necklace and earrings.

I'm very new to the blogging phenomena, but it seems like a great way to share my creations. For now, I'll be posting some of my older projects, but I'll try to get used to updating as I finish projects. I'm always interested in learning new techniques, and I hope to get input from more experienced beaders and jewelry artists.

Here is one of my favorite creations. It is a pendant with red garnet, tsavorite garnet, and spessartite garnet. My birthday is in January, and I love the less common types of garnet, so I made this for myself.
